Spiral: From The Book Of Saw will get a digital release June 1, much sooner after its theatrical release than fans initially expected. If you haven't seen any movies in the Saw franchise but would still like to get involved, you only have to watch the first movie in the franchise to be up to date. The original Saw films released a year apart, meaning some fans had hoped to be seeing Spiral 2 by May 2022 if the reboots followed the old formula. Spiral doesn't really connect to the Saw timeline at all and certainly does not change the trajectory of the overall story, however, directors and fans feel that it does have a place in the franchise with it often being referred to as Saw 9. Spiral: From the Book of Saw had its U.S. As Zeke plummets further into his findings, he finds himself in the center of the killings. The 2021 movie follows Detective Zeke Banks, played by comedian Chris Rock, and his partner as they look into a new stream of grisly murders that are eerily reminiscent of the long-dead Jigsaw killer. The movie will now be released in UK and US cinemas on May 21, 2021, taking the release date that was previously occupied by John Wick: Chapter 4 (which has now moved back to 2022). Directed by Bousman yet again, Spiral is the second movie in the franchise to drop the ‘Saw’’ title and the only edition that doesn't star John Kramer.
